The Lost Prince

In early November, Michael Ullyot spoke at a conference to be held at the National Portrait Gallery in London, accompanying a new¬†exhibition on the life and portraits of Henry, Prince of Wales (1594-1612). His paper was “Mirror of Princes: Henry’s Cautionary Example in Elegies and Sermons.” Henry’s death, 400 years ago on November 6th, allowed his ill-fated brother Charles to inherit the throne in 1625.
